Behaviour Therapy/ Specific Psychosexual Interventions

With some gynaecological and post-natal difficulties, especially those with physical discomfort or pain, it is helpful to begin to start doing the things we have feared doing in a graded way. Practicing having exposure to the things that frighten us and to how our mind and bodies react, using an approach called sensate focus, can be helpful.

Your therapist will direct this approach with you as an individual and you may also choose to include your partner in either the sessions or the homework.
